Basic Fantasy Character Generator

Roll up a complete Basic Fantasy RPG character - stats, race, class, hit points, and starting money - and receive a filled-in spreadsheet character sheet, all without leaving Discord.

Usage

!basicfantasycharacter        interactive - you pick race and class
!bfc                          same thing, less typing
!bfc random                   fully random one-shot

Aliases: character, bfc. The channel must be active. Starting a new character discards any half-finished one you had going.

How it works

Stats are rolled - 3d6 (sorted) for each of STR, INT, WIS, DEX, CON, and CHA, plus one more 3d6 whose total ×10 becomes your starting gold (and the basis of your starting XP).
Pick a race from the buttons under your stat block. Only races your stats qualify for are offered - Human is always on the table.
Pick a class - again, only what you qualify for.
HP is rolled from your class's hit die plus your CON modifier, the sheet is filled in, and Dicebot uploads your .xlsx character sheet to the channel.

Only you can press the buttons on your own character - anyone else gets told "This isn't your character!"

Elf	INT ≥ 9 and CON ≤ 17
Halfling	DEX ≥ 9 and STR ≤ 17

Cleric	1d6	WIS ≥ 9
Magic-user	1d4	INT ≥ 9 - and you're not a Dwarf or Halfling
Thief	1d4	DEX ≥ 9

Humans get a 10% bonus to starting XP. Your CON modifier (−3 at CON 3, up to +3 at CON 18) adjusts your HP roll.

A word on mortality

Dicebot honours the dice. If all of STR, WIS, DEX, and INT come up below 9, the character is declared truly hopeless and you're invited to try again. And if your HP roll (after CON modifier) lands at zero or below - your character dies before the adventure even starts. The dice giveth…
